This is a finished request for :iconerikmodi: of his Yuuzhan Vong OC, Meelan Lah, who as I understand was once shamed (hence no tattoo's or implants) and has completely healed following said rejections.

YV and all things SW belong to the big George L, the character to :iconerikmodi: and the art me.

The large gap to one side has been left relatively spotless for the addition of possible text, I just wanted to post the blank version before hand as I rather liked it :)

Yes I suppose I did, the lines were all hand drawn, the colouring by hand but using a tablet and stylus in conjunction with painter X

Awesome. I love your stylization; the way you do skin is so interesting.
btw, why the obsession with Yuuzhan Vong? I thought they were pretty sweet too, i'm just wondering. :)

Thanks :D I always shade skin using the colouring in white method, it's done in 3-4 layers with a lot of blender usage in between!
Why Yuuzhan Vong? Well, quite a few reasons, from the moment I read about Yomin Carr in VP I was literally hooked by how different the NJO series was going to be - I avoided it for about a year on account of Chewies death, but finally swallowed my pride and read. The YV were such a breath of fresh air to SW, and completely different to boot, their culture was fascinating to me, incorporating a lot of aspects of ancient cultures I had been fascinated with as a kid/teen. It also combined my fave fandom of all time, SW, and I just loved the way that writers like Stover, Denning and Keyes wrote them, they were very interesting. :)
I could go on, but I didn't wanna write you an essay lol.

heh, yeah I totally get what you mean about them being like a breath of fresh air. usually I'm not into the violent bad guys, but I love the implants they have! So intense! I wish i had a weird starfish thing to be my second hand or plant like growths in my ear.

Oh completely, I have always had a tendancy to like the dark and evil characters, especially those that were portrayed as people rather than just mindless villains. But the whole body art side of things was interesting on a personal level, I am forever adding things to myself, be that the 20 back piercings or the front corsetting I had done, to the crazy hair I have presently and I even gave consent to have my ear reshaped when I was six - though that was medical rather than cosmetic. I do also have a small piece of scarrification that interlinks with a tribal tattoo on my thigh, figured if I got it there, I could hide it when everything goes south aged 50 XD
