Sever by blue-but-beautiful Sever by blue-but-beautiful
Things that I thought I had put far behind
Find the mind, connect to sever
I felt deeply how my feelings combined
That it's like, they'll never sever

In a way I started today
To weave garlands for the grave
It will break me till my knees bend
It will leave me with nothing in the end

In a blatant mind, my thoughts have entwined
But if you feel the real they will divide
From beyond within, the heart plays its part
The real and fake forever sever.

---This image is dedicated to my Grandfather, who sadly passed away in April 09.
I know he wanted to see this image finished :)

The interaction between the photograph and the painting very appropriately shows the separation of body from the essence of life. The feeling of space and motion is present. Sound is suggested as well, perhaps the wind.

I think this could be a concept drawing for a music video...

Thanks, and an interesting mention of the wind there, I can see (or should that be 'hear'?) that.

And thanks again! I really had to think what you meant by blue blood LOL, yes it's way too early to be thinking  It's not meant to be blood, but I suppose it's open to interpretation, it's very interesting hearing other's views :D I used a stock image of some ink in water :)

Wow, very cool! And full of emotion. The blue looks just like liquid suspended in water. I also like how the transition from black to white hits right where the blue is.

Thanks very much :D and it's funny you mention that, the blue is indeed just what you said hehe. It's ink in water, I shaded out the pippette and layed my line work in a layer over it, after which I layered up the colours and monochrome shading. The gradient was the last thing to go on. :)
