The Lover Gods - Inspired by the fictional gods worshipped by the Yuuzhan Vong in the New Jedi Order series.


Yun-Q'aah, along with twin Yun-Txiin, were the Yuuzhan Vong lover gods. Having a relationship outside one's caste was forbidden in Yuuzhan Vong society, and disobeying automatically led to sacrifice to the Lover Gods.

Sacrifice days among other things, it was suggested that the holy days were spent doing well, the obvious thing that people think of when they think of 'lover gods' ;)
But yeah, the no-intercaste thing had to be awful, I'm the complete opposite to my fiance so if we were Yuuzhan Vong that would be us for the spatter pit LOL.

Nope, I used DaftRabbit the whole time. I made this account when I was on my first deployment last year, and I was hitting this site often when my ship was at sea (especially getting to know all the SW fans here), but now that I'm out of the navy I have not had much time to browse lately what with moving, getting a new job, etc. It's been a fast ride these last few months, but life is finally slowing down. =)

Wow, it's been far too long since I've been on this site. Heya Blue...nice to see you are still here, and doing great work too! You always were my fav when it came to Yuuzhan Vong images. =D This one is a great concept, especially since I never see anyone try to capture the Yuuzhan Vong gods in any particular way. Very symbolic, very vong... yet subtley emotional as well...almost a human element in there, and all that despite the fact they have no expressions in their faces- not an easy thing to pull off. Great work!!!

Welcome back! And thanks very much :D Yep, still sketching the Yuuzhan Vong, can't lose the bug lol. Glad you like this piece, took me quite a while over the course of a few days.
I'm a bit embarrassed to ask, but did you use another screen name before? I'm awful with names on and off screen lol. :blush: :D
